Eyeing an All-Malaysian final in Asean Champions Trophy
PETALING JAYA : The inaugural Asean Champions Trophy Under-15 football final may be an all-Malaysian affair, with Frenz United Malaysia A and B through to the semi-finals from their respective groups.
Frenz United Malaysia A finished runners-up in group A and will play group B champions Frenz United Indonesia in the first-leg of the semi-finals in Jakarta on Aug 18.
Frenz United Malaysia B, second in group B, will play the winners of Group A Chonburi FC of Thailand in the other semi-finals in Bangkok on Aug 17.
The semi-final, return-leg matches are scheduled at the Janda Baik Stadium on Aug 21 and 22.
Twelve teams from 11 nations are competing in the championship, which offers US$100,000 in prize money. The four-month long league will culminate with the final on Aug 28 ( first-leg ) and Sept 1 ( return leg ).

Aug 17 : Chonburi FC vs Frenz Malaysia B ( Stadium Chonburi, Bankok – 8.45 pm )
Aug 18 : Frenz United Indonesia vs frenz Malaysia A ( Stadium Jakarta – 8.45 pm )
Second - leg
Aug 21 : Frenz Malaysia B vs Chonburi FC (Stadium Janda Baik – 8.45 pm )
Aug 22 : Frenz Malaysia A vs Frenz Indonesia ( Stadium Janda Baik – 8.45 pm )
